Read the Senate Rules HERE for more information and details. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend this if you want to go anywhere in this fake life. This is the minimum of what you need to debate and vote in the Senate. Senate Floor -- DebateWhen speaking in a debate, you must first address the President pro-Tempore; "Mr. President," Then you say what it is you wanted to say "I am strongly opposed to this!" And then you yield the floor; "I yield." So a basic post during a debate is; "Mr. President, I am strongly opposed to this ridiculous measure! I yield" Senate Floor -- VoteWhen the PPT has brought a bill up for a vote you should either vote; Aye (Yes)
Nay (No)or Present (Here but I don't care enough about my country to vote ;D)Committee -- DebateDebate in a committee is the same as on the floor, except that you address the Chairman. "Mr. Chairman, I strongly oppose this. I yield." Basic MotionsUnanimous Consent"Mr. President/Chairman, I motion for Unanimous Consent. I yield" Unanimous consent can be used to expedite passage of a bill when there is no one opposing it. After the motion, there will be 24 hours given by the Chair or President for objections. With no objections, the bill passes. If someone objects, debate continues. EDITING
