" I'd like to use this section to talk about America. Our country is at a vital stage in time, - we are only eight years into the new century, and yet under a Republican President our economy is lagging, the deficit and debt are the highest in our nations history, - and more and more Americans are struggling to keep up in a time when our economy is leaving them behind. This is not a time for more talk and dithering in Washington, it's a time for Action. I believe that the Democratic Party is the only party standing up for the interests of the Middle Class every day. As Senator from New York I've worked consistently to fight for Americans, from Alaska to Florida and from Maine to California. My work will continue, - towards making America a better nation. "
