Sen. Maximiliano appears alongside Sen. Clark at a rally at Iowa State University
Iowa State University - After announcing his endorsement of fellow MD Senator Joseph Clark, Andres Maximiliano has appeared alongside the presidential hopeful at a rally at the university. Speaking enthusiastically of Clark's proposals, Maximiliano expressed his admiration for his senior counterpart in the senate.
"I'm truly honored to be here alongside Senator Clark, I feel that of all the candidates, he is the best there is, and I hope that the American people agree with this, and I hope that my fellow democrats do as well. He has the soundest platform of all the other candidates, and I fully believe that if elected president, he will be amongst the best our nation has ever had,"
Maximiliano, a supporter of immigration reform as well as a critic of the war in Iraq, has said that he planned to see through Clark's campaign to the end, as well as stating that he would do his best to gather support amongst Latino voters for sen. Clark.
After the rally, Maximiliano answered questions as to why he chose to support Clark over the other candidates, and he then headed towards South Carolina to aid the Clark cause there.

Senator Clark takes the stage at a rally at Iowa State UniversityLadies and Gentleman, I am proud to be here at Iowa State University one of the finest public education institutions in this great nation. It is inspiring standing here amongst what will become the backbone of the next American leadership. Unfortunately it could well be a troubled time if we continue down this path of reckless spending, and irresponsible management. The American youth are facing a desperate situation American the current education system is in shambles poor legislation such as the No Child left behind act are destroying the quality of education that the next generation of Americans are experiencing. How many of you here have or are taking a logic class? I want you to use the set of skill you have gained from this class for a moment and if any one here has an explanation to this please speak up. How is removing funding from poorly performing schools, as the No Child Left Behind Act is, helping to improve the quality of education in America? Keeping that in mind what is more logical trying to improve the quality of education by decreasing the amount of resources they have or by identifying these poorly performing schools many of which are in Urban Centres and formulating a strategy that will provide them with the necessary resources they need to improve their performances? The very name of the act itself is a fraud the act is leaving thousands of children behind. You cannot solve an issue by simply ignoring it. I am sure some one will criticize me for wanting to overspend but the cost of this program would pay for itself in the long-term from the gains we would see from a more educated population. To put it in perspective President Bush has thrown trillions of dollars in the Iraq war. I assure you the purposal I have made today would not require an increase in taxes. Ladies and Gentleman of the great state of Iowa, Thank you for your time.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the great state of South Carolina,
America is facing a problem for the last seven years we have seen a government, under the guidance of President Bush, spend-recklessly, and enact irresponsible policy. America is a strong and durable nation but these polices are grating at its very core.
Demand better.
America needs a leader who is fiscally responsible. The Budget Enforcement Act should not be needed in order to ensure appropriate spending on behalf of the government. Proper budget management is a fundamental skill required of all Presidents. This requires an understanding of the tax system, and economic theory. Through years of experience I have acquired these skills.
Demand better.
The American youth are facing a desperate situation American the current education system is in shambles poor legislation such as the No Child left Behind Act are destroying the quality of education that the next generation of Americans are experiencing. I have attended some of the finest educational institutes in the world. Unfortunately a countless number of Americans are being deprived of the opportunity to go into such post-secondary institutions despite possessing the same level of skill as those admitted. This deprivation is coming from legislation such as the No Child left Behind Act, which is destroying the education of America’s youngest generation. People often cite tuition costs as a major factor in this depravity, and it certainly is but the destructive nature of this legislation should not be underplayed. All Americans have a right to a high quality education. Working together with the states, educators, senators, and congressmen we can fix these failings, and ensure this right.
Demand better.

He spoke to a lot of college students. "Thank You all, for joining me here today. And I just have to say, with regard to that 1 week of a Republican Congress. I just can‘t wait for the new Democratic leadership to take over. But I'll tell you what; I'll really settle for 4 years of a Democratic President. I appreciate this opportunity to be with you, and I can't think of a better city than “The Auto Parts Capital of the World“. Here we have two winners: Joseph Clark and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, Joe is no LeBron James. How could there be more than one LeBron? [Laughter] But Colin is an politician we can all be proud of. He's been scoring points for you and me in Washington everyday. And I am here to ask you all a favor: For Ohio’s sake, for America's sake, to please cast your vote for Joseph Clark for President of the United States of America. Ladies and Gentlemen of the great state of New Hampshire,
Thank you,
I come tonight with a very, very full heart.
The oil companies, the drug companies, and the health insurance companies have had seven years of a president who stands up for them. It's time we had a president who stands up for all of you.
It is not the mandate of the Federal Government to be subservient to major corporations. To deliver on the promise that every generation will have their shot at the American dream, not just the privileged. The Federal Government needs to sit down with these leaders in corporate America and make it clear that they do not own America. Doing this we need to make clear that there are laws and regulations that have to be fallowed and that violating them will have severe repercussions.
Making it clear that corporations are not above the law is a fundamental principal of America. Do not mistake this as a statement against Corporate America. It is important that we establish dialogue with both Corporate America and countries to ensure that Corporate America is not at a competitive disadvantage. It was on the hard work of the American middle class that America became the world’s largest economy and it will be the work from the middle class that sees America maintains that position.
As an Economist I have spent a great deal of time studying ethics. I believe Warren Buffet put it best when he remarked: “…looking for people to hire, you should look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if they don't have the first, the other two will kill you.” There is an intrinsic wisdom in this statement. I have and always will seek to surround my self with people of integrity individuals such as Senators Clark J. Bredesen, Andres Maximiliano, and Howard Paterson have shown this by endorsing me.
Corporate America is dependant on a strong middle class in America. This is a fact they are well aware of. There is a very strong core of good moral people in Corporate America. The occurrences such as the Enron scandal have left America with a distain for Corporate America; however, the general mistrust and image of a scrooge is a very dangerous generality. It is like most generalities a false one. Mr Buffet stands as an example as to why these generalities are dangerous.
Yes, our greatness as a nation has depended on individual initiative, on a belief in the free market. But it has also depended on our sense of mutual regard for each other, of mutual responsibility. The idea that everybody has a stake in the country, that we're all in it together and everybody's got a shot at opportunity. Mutual regard and the free market are inherently linked. To quote Adam Smith “it is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.”
Lets work together to build a strong and prosperous middle class. By reforming and simplifying the Tax code, reforming the Federal Reserve system, and taking steps such as establishing dialogue between Medicare providers, companies in the field of medicine, and the state to create a responsible forum for the creation of a more efficient and better health care system.
