Good Morning, I’m Senator Samantha Rockwood and I represent to people from the great state of Texas. Yesterday our party elected a new leader, Maricella Oterez. She is the first woman and the first Hispanic to ever hold such a high position in any American political party and I have the greatest faith in her ability to lead our party in a new direction. The American people are tired of bitter, vindictive politicians arguing about petty differences and taking advantage of a polarized nation. They are ready for a change; they do not want our party to be beholden to the radical neo-cons and evangelists. The American people want a party of politicians who vote their conscience, and defend family values, individual freedoms and economic security. This country is ready for a change, but contrary to their claims, the democrats can only offer different failed policies and more troubles for American people.

Good Evening, I’m Senator Samantha Rockwood and today I co-sponsored legislation with Senator James Rottnek that will help reform the Social Security system and ensure financial security for all Americans well into their years of retirement. We are fast approaching the retirement of The Greatest Generation and they deserve far better care than they are receiving. Over the last few administrations, fiscal discipline has been abandoned in favor of wasteful pork barrel spending and expensive and intrusive government programs and now our economy is in shambles and we republicans need to return to the conservative roots of Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Reagan.

Speech from Senator Rockwood's endorsement of Senator Rottnek in Austin, Texas
"Hello Austin, I’m Senator Samantha Rockwood and I have been proud to serve as you senator for the last 17 years and have been proud to serve under my fellow Texan for the last eight. Unfortunately these past eight years have not lived up to the promises made in 2000. President Bush has been an amazing president and his list of accomplishments is vast and laudable, but his mistakes have been costly and severe. In the past eight years our nation has suffered from radical polarization and the realignment of both parties to a more vindictive, activist temperament. But now we are ready for a Change, and we have that change in the form of my friend and colleague, Senator James Rottnek. Senator Rottnek is a true conservative who believes in fiscal discipline, family values, and the importance of small government and individual rights. He is going to restore the constitution and return America to its high standing around the world. Senator Rottnek is an inspirational and proven leader who will help lead our nation and our party in to the 21st century with pride and fortitude."

The Senator and her younger brother, Rep. Ken Rockwood Jr., held a rally together in Houston
"Hello, I’m Congressman Ken Rockwood and I’m really glad to see be here among all my fellow patriots. In recent years our party has lost its reputation as the party of fiscal discipline and true conservatism. It has been hijacked by the radicals from the evangelical wing of our party. Fortunately, a few brave republicans have stepped forward to challenge the radical’s and rid the Republican party of their oppressive chokehold. Here now, one of the leaders of this New Republican movement, my sister, Senator Samantha Rockwood.
Hello Houston! I want to thank the congressman for his introduction and I want to thank all of you for coming out on this hot Texas day to show your support. Now a lot of you may have seen my speech in Austin earlier this week. I have chosen to endorse Senator James Rottnek for our next President of the United States. He is a proven leader that I have worked with very closely on many bills including a recent series of legislative efforts to reform our Social Security system. I have long been a defender of fiscal discipline and am a firm believer that having respect for the elders in our community is a major family value and it is deeply rooted in my moral background. Together, we can bring back the financial safety net inherent in the promises of social security and together we can make America a better place. Thank you, Houston!"

The Senator gave a speech at a NRA rally in Dallas
"Hello my fellow Gun-owners I’m Senator Rockwood and I am pleased and proud to be here. Just this week the radical liberals in the senate have taken actions to effectively repeal the second amendment by the introduction of another Assault Weapons Ban. These reactionary elitists use the first amendment to defend depravities such as pornography, they have used the vagueness of other amendments to support abortion, homosexuality and other immoral activities, and yet they feel that the second amendment is a passé law that should be limited in its scope. Well I’ll tell them what we all know to be true, pass all the bill you want, but when it comes to guns, FROM OUR COLD DEAD HANDS! These liberals don’t know the truth about the American people. They’ve spent their lives in the sheltered halls of the Ivy League and have never been in touch with true Americans. In my America, guns are a fixture of our life, they are a source of pride and a family tradition. I will never stop fighting for your rights to live your heritage and keep hold of the timeless traditions that are the American life."
