Where: Des Moines, Iowa Event: Fundraiser Dinner with Senator Irvine and RNC Chairwoman Maricella Oterez to announce Senator Irvine's candidacy for President. Ticket Cost: $250 for a regular meal, $450 to meet with the Senators before the dinner and get preferred seating. Target: Upper/Upper Middle Class Republicans and Independents Location: We will rent the ballroom of the Renaissance Savery Hotel, in downtown Des Moines.
Those who pay $450 will get to meet with Senator Irvine an hour before the event begins, where Senator Irvine will explain why he is the best candidate, especially out of all the Republicans, citing his unparalleled experience and conservative yet unifying vision for the future. Senator Irvine will spend the rest of the time chatting with those in attendance, discussing his plans and listening to their suggestions. Senator Oterez will be there as well, also talking to the attendees.
During the actual dinner, those who paid extra will receive preferred seating, at the same table as, or near the Senator and Chairwoman Oterez.

During the main event, Senator Irvine will walk up to the podium and give the following speech:
"I would like to thank every single one of you for attending this dinner tonight; it means very much to me. To start off, I will take a moment to discuss with you all why I have decided to run for the office of President.
Over the last eight years, America has gone through much. We have seen the effects of terrorism on September 11th, when thousands of innocent Americans were killed in cold blood by Al-Qaeda. We have responded to this by removing the Taliban from their position of power in Afghanistan, and beginning the Global War on Terror. We have similarly removed Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq, and are now working on rebuilding the country under a democratic, free government. Now, worries are beginning about the economy, oil prices, health care, and social security. The nation is divided about the solutions to many of these problems, but I believe that I can unify America once again. That, my friends, is why I am running for President. What this nation needs most right now is an experienced president who can lead and unify the entire country country. I believe that I can be that president.
The Democrats want to portray themselves as the party of change, and the Republicans as proponents of a stagnant and never-changing America. Not only will I tell you this is not true, but I will guarantee that if I am elected President, I can and will prove that their claims are false. Through my policies and actions, I will show that I too am a candidate of change - a mature, responsible change.
You know as well as I what needs to change in this country: social security, the economy, the environment, health care, the Iraq War, and our foreign policy, to name a few. On all those issues, and more, I offer solutions which will benefit the American people and the American economy, while still maintaining, or should I say beginning, a period of fiscal and moral responsibility in government. These principals, ethical and fiscal responsibility, are those which make the Republican Party great. If chosen as its nominee, I will reflect those principals, as I have always done, in my campaign as well as, hopefully, the decisions I may one day make as President.
However, this is not all I offer as a presidential candidate. One of the main duties of the President is to act as commander-in-chief of the armed forces. Under that role, the President is charged with protecting America's freedom, independence, and liberty, at home and abroad. Such a job requires leadership, stamina, and experience, just as did my duties in the Navy before I became a senator. In proof of my leadership skills, I was awarded by my peers in the Navy the Vice Admiral Stockdale award, which recognizes extraordinary leadership skills by a naval officer. In my most recent charge as Chief of Naval Operations from 2004-2006, I directed the entire United States Navy as its highest ranked officer. I have no doubt, based on those experiences, that I could perform the duty of Commander-in-Chief and protect the American people, even in these times of war.
Having this experience gives me something which no other candidate, Republican or Democrat, has: the ability to lead this country in every sense possible, whether on economic issues, moral issues, or as commander-in-chief of the military. I offer smart, healthy change to this country, something which we are desperately in need of. However, the only way this change will ever come about is if I am elected president by you, the American people.
Thank you all once again for coming out to lend me a helping hand in my quest to unify America and bring solutions to the issues which most desperately need them. Now, I would like to introduce my good friend, fellow Senator, and Chairwoman of the GOP, Ms. Maricella Oterez."

"Ladies and Gentlemen,
It brings me great honor and is a privilege to speak to you here today. As we all know the race for the Republican nomination and soon the White House draws closer and closer by the week. I have, as party Chairwoman of course received many requests for endorsements, although until now I have declined them all. Declined all of course, until I heard of Mike Irvine's candidacy. When I made my short, yet powerful speech before my election to the position of Chairwoman, I promised to break new ground to the GOP and bring in a new era for the Republican Party, and by now officially endorsing Senator Mike Irvine for President of the United States of America, I am taking the first of many steps to do so.
Mike Irvine has the plans, has the experience, has the will to lead the Republican Party to victory and to lead the United States into a new Republican era. The Democrats claim that we are a party that represents the “old way” and have declared war on it. Well we need to send a clear message to the Democrat’s that we are no party of the old and the GOP will usher in a new generation of Republican’s to the white house and Senate.
At a time where America is fighting a war against terrorism, at a time where our Economy is shaky, America needs a leader that is strong and that will remain valiant through our hard times. And I truly believe that Senator Mike Irvine will. Senator Irvine retains our traditional, conservative, and morale values yet has the stamina and will to bring in a new generation of Republican votes and bring people to the Republican party.
We need a leader who will stand up for America’s values at home and abroad. A person who will protect American interests at home and at abroad. And more importantly, a person who has the knowledge and experience to keep the American people safe from all those who wish them harm. The people of Iowa spoke in 2004 when they voted Republican, they said they wanted America to stay safe and secure, they said they wanted a strong America that would stand as a beacon for democracy.

Trisha says that she is desperate for help that just doesn't seem to come. I want to be President, so that parents like Trisha don't have to go through this constant struggle any longer. I would like to welcome you all to the Hotel.
I would like to begin by discussing the economy.
I have spent more than a decade in side the Federal Reserve, and almost three decades studying economic management with some of the brightest minds on the planet. I will bring a wealth of inside understanding to the Presidency. I have worked inside the Federal Reserve and I understand what works and what needs to be fixed. I understand how the people working their think. One of my professors during my time studding economics at the University of Chicago was the noble laureate Milton Friedman. Mr. Friedman had some rather negative views of the Federal Reserve many of which I do not share; at the same time he pointed out glaring flaws within the Federal system. We need to provide a stronger set of mechanical guidelines for the Federal Reserve that will keep the quantity of money rising. At the same time we must understand that government should hold the responsibility, and power of issuing money not private banks, this is a matter of regulatory security. Mr. Friedman was right the Federal Reserve caused problems in the Great Depression, and the 1970’s. Yet no one has taken any proper action to reform it. Together we can still fix the shortcomings of the Fed to ensure such situations never occur again. I will listen to late Mr. Friedman, and the prominent economists that are still alive. As a president I will bring a graduate degree in Economics, which will allow me to bring a strong social and technical understanding of Economics to the Presidency. Finally we need to make moves towards creating a more transparent Federal Reserve.
We are facing a time of economic change with issues such as global warming presenting new economic, and social issues. These are issues that I have spent the majority of my life studying, and during my years in the Federal Reserve, and as a Senator managing. I understand monetary policy, and the implications of taxation, and social programs I am fully prepared to deal with them to ensure a better future for Americans.
One of these issues is globalization. It is easy to say that times have changed and take a more protectionist viewpoint. In fact, times have changed. Dramatic advances in technology and increased global trade are creating enormous economic opportunities, but also challenges. If America is to remain the world's economic superpower, it must capitalize on the opportunities and confront the challenges. Countries that run away from globalization will pay a heavy price for decades to come. This is why contrary to some members of my party I do support Free Trade when it is based around a strong frame work in order to regulate the trade to ensure a level playing field.
I fully support responsible tax cuts, which will not impede the government’s ability to meet its responsibilities to the population. We have responsibilities as a federal government to be able to adequately provide funding for national necessities such as defence. As a trained economist I under stand the dangers of lacking government spending, and over taxation. Big-government is no more the answer to countries problems than no-government. Taxation is a necessary occurrence in modern times and the key to having a properly functioning country is to find the right level of taxes, along with minimizing inflation, and proper regulations to protect individuals while not impeding the development of industry. Many taxation policies have been put forth ranging from a flat tax with negative income tax to the currently used federal tax code. One of my first actions as President will be to establish a committee of national economic advisors to launch a study into tax code reform.
Unions provide an invaluable service to workers when they work in cooperation with companies to address issues. However, At the same time high union wages harm everyone, including union members. They create higher wages but at the cost of jobs and as a result if some industries are unionized while others are not, wages will decline in non-unionized industries. There are cases in which minimum wages can impede competition, however part of our social responsibility, as a federal government is to protect citizens of which a minimum wage is an invaluable asset in preventing exploitation. It is crucial that a balance is maintained between protecting workers through Unions, and minimum wages and those that are built into the free-market economy. We should never forget Adam Smith’s work an Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations and the primary statement behind the book. That statement being self-preservation is not a selfish trait as self-preservation of an individual is inherently linked to the benefit of society, as the individual needs the society for preservation. Or as Adam Smith put “it is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.”
Now if I may go further into Social issues
The American youth are facing a desperate situation American the current education system is in shambles poor legislation such as the No Child left Behind Act are destroying the quality of education that the next generation of Americans are experiencing. I have attended some of the finest educational institutes in the world. Unfortunately a countless number of Americans are being deprived of the opportunity to go into such post-secondary institutions despite possessing the same level of skill as those admitted. This deprivation is coming from legislation such as the No Child left Behind Act, which is destroying the education of America’s youngest generation. People often cite tuition costs as a major factor in this depravity, and it certainly is but the destructive nature of this legislation should not be underplayed. All Americans have a right to a high quality education. Working together with the states, educators, senators, and congressmen we can fix these failings, and ensure this right.
A nation cannot prosper if its education system is not at its best, and lately there has been a sharp decline in the quality of public education, due in part to the No Child Left Behind initiative. I propose to repeal the aforementioned act, and to concentrate on improving the quality of our schools through programs to better educate our teachers, and to ensure that all kids have access to a proper education. To do this we shall establish a dialogue between the State, the federal government, and educators. Using this dialogue we can ensure the states receive proper support from the federal government and funding is allocated to areas that require it most desperately.
I support supplementing the current Social Security system with personal accounts. However this is not a replacement for addressing benefit promises that cannot be kept. I will work with both Democrats and Republicans to get the necessary reforms implemented. No problem is in more need of honesty than the looming financial challenges of entitlement programs. Americans have the right to know the truth and I will not leave office without fixing the problems that threatens our future prosperity and power. We've got to fix it for the future generations of Americans, as that is our primary responsibility. My background in Economics lends me a unique understanding of how to mange such changes to ensure stability in finances for individual Americans now, and to build a strong foundation for future generations.
If I may discuss Abortion and Gay marriage for a moment I understand that these two issues are some of the most controversial issues in the United States, but in the end they must both come down to a person's own freedom to choose. For that reason, we should ensure that Roe v. Wade is upheld, and we allow gay couples to enter into domestic partnerships, as well as allowing churches who wish to do so to marry them. Freedom of religion is a fundamental right in this nation, and as such is our responsibility to protect.
Health Care is an issue that touches all segments of America. Reform is desperately needed in the areas of regulation, and Medicaid. At the same time a nationalization of the Health Care system would have severely negative economic impacts in the long-term. It is necessary to establish strong and standardized forum for dialogue between the current, and future health care providers, states, and the federal government in order to ensure all Americans, including those such as t the impoverished, the young, the elderly who may lack the facilities pay for health care themselves have the access to the medical care that they so desperately need. Such reforms will call upon a significant alteration in how the government spends money in regards to health care. This shift in spending will call upon my years of experience in the financial world.
Finally I would like to speak briefly about issues of national security
The war in Iraq has been a resounding failure, marked by corruption, needless death, and horrible fiscal policy, which included reckless spending and a misappropriation of funds, causing the worsening of the budget deficit. With these facts in mind, I cannot honestly support this war, and I propose a gradual withdrawal of American troops in Iraq, with an open dialogue with our generals in the theatre so that we can make a proper timetable for withdrawal
I feel that the War on Terror, although certainly necessary with the upsurge in radical terrorism, has been poorly handled until now. We cannot simply attack those nations which we suspect to be harbouring terrorists, we must instead work with those nations committed to our cause to fight against terror at its roots, by changing our image in the world and specifically in those nations where our nation inspires hatred and revulsion. All of this means that a serious look at our strategy on the war on terror, and subsequently our goals, is desperately needed.
America is a nation built on immigration this is a fact we cannot afford to forget. I am a strong supporter of the efforts to negotiate a comprehensive immigration reform package. We still have not solved our nation's immigration crisis, and I believe that we can find a solution that secures our borders, respects the rule of law, and honours both our history as a nation of immigrants and our basic values of respect and compassion. I shall continue to work in cooperation with my fellow senators, and members of congress to find a resolution to this issue. We must strengthening our borders, achieve greater cooperation with our neighbouring nations, create strict and fair enforcement of our laws, provide assistance to state and local governments, establish and enforce strict penalties for those who exploit undocumented workers, and create a path to a based legal status for those who are here that are working hard, paying taxes, and are respecting the law.
After all “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” are words upon which this great nation is founded. Regardless of race, creed, sex or religion we are all equal. America have large Latino, and African American populations demographics that have been historically underrepresented. I stand before you today vowing to stand for equality. In the eternal words of Martin Luther King Jr. “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” America needs to stand up in a united front and say no to discrimination.

Now, economic worries are starting as health care and oil prices rise dramatically, along with food and everything else. The nation is bitterly divided over what the solutions should be. We have seen Americans attack one another over each others beliefs. I believe we can unify once more. In fact, I believe we must unify in order for us to survive as a nation, let alone a world power. Friends, that is why I am running for President of the United States of America. What we need right now is an American with a vision, with executive experience, and an American who will not let you, the People of America, down!
The Democratic Party would like to appear as the party of change. Indeed, they are a party of change. However, 90% of that change is change for the sake of change. Only 10% is change that will actually help us.
You all know what needs change. We need social security needs reformed so that the countless millions who have paid into it for decades, those who rely on it, are not left to starve and are not left on the streets because the system collapsed. We need a new border policy. We need to change education so that our children, and their future's, are bright. We need to help our veterans, those who worked to defend our rights, those who risked their lives every day they were on the job, those who served their nation selflessly for years.
You also know that I have solutions for these problems and more. You know that I have proposed a bill in the Senate that will secure Social Security into the future indefinitely. You know that I believe we need to create a guest worker program, with the possibility of citizenship, for those illegals here who have not committed serious crimes. You also know that I believe it is vital that we complete a border wall on both borders. You know that I have an education plan where charter schools are funded better, a plan where teachers get bonuses for teaching well, and bonuses for teaching in poor areas. You know that I have created a resolution demanding the Congress work to secure the rights of all of our veterans.
What you may not know is why I am qualified for this job. The first job I ever had was as a cashier at an Arizona Wal-Mart. From there, I worked my way up to Assistant Manager, and later Manager. I also created Rottnek Superstores with just one store in Allentown, Pennsylvania. You know that I have successfully built it into a numerous state corporation that also runs several non-profit corporations that help the poor. Because of this experience, combined with my Senate experience, I am qualified to lead this nation to unity once more, to greatness once more.

That was a great performance by the Michigan Marching band. I'm a Penn State fan, but I still give my props to Michigan for beating us for the past 10 years. *Allows laughter to end*
I think you all for coming and supporting my run for president. You are all great and powerful businuessmen and businesswomen.
I know that none you like high taxes.... I'm a tax payer to, and as president I will make sure that taxes are lowered.
You all have lots of problems with unions. As president I will work with Congress to set Union regulations tougher, so that more work can be done, and so that our economy can thrive.
I will also work to make hundreds if not thousands or millions of private jobs.
Business is how this country thrives, and you are the begining of it.
I hear Michigan has some nice hunting areas, maybe one of you whenever you go hunting could show me.
I know that you want the economy enforced, so that taxes won't be raised, so as president I will increase the size of the military to better enforce our economy.

"Citizens of Miami, I've come today to speak to you about a subject that will quickly become very relevant, for all of you: the democratic primaries. I'm sure you are all well aware of my endorsement of Sen. Clark's candidacy, an endorsement support by an identical statement of support from Democratic Senate leader Sen. Patterson, and I hope that you, the voters, will agree with us that Clark is the best man for the job.
I understand that the issue of immigration is important for many of you here, because the issue has been used by the republicans to justify, in my view, racist measures and comments. As a nation founded on freedom, the protection of life, and the word of law, we cannot allow vigilantes to take the law into their own hands like is happening on the US-Mexico border. We cannot turn back people fleeing from an oppressive regime ruled by a tyrant.

He has years of experience, as well as a degree in economics, and a solid plan.
