Hold a Fundraising Event Here. You must write where it is, what type of people are going (How much does it cost to get it?) and what if anything will be happening (any speeches you give, etc.). Write a couple paragraphs describing the event.
Then I will tell you how much money you raised based on how good an event it is.

It is our duty as Americans to preserve the American Dream for every citizen of this great nation. It is our duty to restore hope and promise to the futures of our children and their children, and their children. It is our duty to protect our nation and stand up and defend it. That is what I have done in the Army , that is what I have done in Congress, and that is what I will do as President. America needs and deserves leadership, we need a different kind of politics, a different kind of politician, a different kind of President. My vision for America is not liberal, or conservative, it isn’t a Democratic or Republican vision; it is an American vision. It is a vision that will make our country safer, stronger and more prosperous. It is a vision based upon the courage to act, the courage to work together and unite, and the courage to face the challenges that we face head on. In the words of our former President Bill Clinton this campaign will be about “more opportunity for all, more responsibility from everyone, and a greater sense of common purpose.” And this campaign will foster those values, we will bring people together and we will seize upon the things that unite us as a people. And when I say we are going to bring everyone together I don't just mean Democrats, but Independents, and Republicans, too. We are going to bring people who have never voted into the fold, and we will unite as a nation. It is time for us to capitalize exactly on who we are and what we are capable of doing. We are the greatest nation in this world. We have the ability to create jobs, the ability to lift people out of poverty, the strongest military in the world, but our most important asset is our people. And together as a people we can get America back on track and we can make it great once again. And with your support I hope to be able to lead us down that path." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ResultsA great success, 300 donors ranging from well-off to wealthy enjoy a great dinner and a great speech.+$300,000 (If you are campaigning, your money is tracked in the proper forum. Where: Des Moines, Iowa Event: Social Event Ticket Cost: $250 Target: Democrats and Independents House: Rented Ballroom of Hotel Downtown
For those who pay $500, I will have a 45 minute special briefing meeting before the event starts. Two main purposes of this event, to get money, to get name recognition, and to get people to work in my campaign.
Script: -Meeting for people who contribute $500. I will talk to them why I am the best candidate, highlight my moderate positions, my electibality and the fact that I am a Democratic Senator in a Republican State, and I can work with both sides of the aisle. I promise to let them in on my campaign and I will issue them a special pass that allows them to get daily emails from my campaign staff.-
After this I will go to the ballroom and chat with people. I will study a list of known Democratic politicians likely to attend and study their name, face, family status and tidbits that will get them to like me. I will introduce myself, thank them for coming tonight, and ask them if they will work with me for a better America. I will ask about any family and ask about any hobbies they might have. I want to stress that I am a cheerful, funny likeable guy.
After crowd surfing I will go to the podium and give the following speech.
"Thank you for attending tonight taking time off family and work. I know how important both are. I want to thank the man who put this together, (insert name of prominent official who arranged this) and thank the people of Iowa for giving me the chance to be their President. I am not extremist, I can not tolerate extremism on both sides, right and left. I will work with people on both sides of the aisle for many problems facing our nation are not Democratic problems, nor Republican problems but American problems. In the words of Lyndon Johnson, politics should not be a spectator sport and I hope that all of you hear tonight will work on my campaign, raising money and going door-to-door and all sorts of activities needed if I am to be elected. If I am not chosen as my parties nominee, then I will throw all effort behind my opponent, Lance Lilldige and I hope he will do the same. I hope to disagree with him without being disagreeable, I am friends with him, I will be friends with him after this campaign no matter what. And, I will not fire the first shot in negativity, and I hope to put off that day for as long as possible because I never realized how trashing my opponent made me look better. Thank you, good night, and God Bless America"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Results A generally good event. People like the positive message. Several people payed the $500 for the special pass. The upper-middle class to well off crowdmembers enjoyed themselves.

Script: I am going to give the following speech
"Thank you for being here, especially I know that you could be working, trying to raise more money for the family. I was not born with a silver sthingy in my mouth, I am not rich, I worry about my mortgage and rent same as you. You are here because you know that my candidacy is the only one that will help you get out of the hole that the Republicans have cheerfully dug you into. When I am President, I promise you, that by the end of my first term, the poverty rate will be by at least 5 million people. If you elect a Republican...they will promise you that it will be raised by 5 million people. I will support more welfare funding, as well as create an Agency that looks at the job sector, looks at applicants skills and tries to match them up with the best paying job possible. This will only happen if you vote for me, I encourage you to do so strongly. When you go into the caucus on January 3rd, the choice is clear. Vote for a Better Life for you and your children, or vote for the Status Quo. The choice is yours, do as you like with it. "

Marquee Event - Barbecue Announcement Candidacy for President Target: Republicans, Independents, Working Class Allentown, Pennsylvania (Ceder Creek Parkway) Price per plate: $25
Menu: Hamburgers Hot Dogs Ice Cream Soda French Fries
Speech:
"How are you all today? Friends, this is where my business started. Rottnek Superstores. Right here in Allentown. Allentown is my home. That is why I have picked Allentown as the location where I will be announcing something very important shortly. America has had horrible leadership these past few years. We have had massive debts. We have had unnecessary wars. We have had a massive decline in jobs. We have just had too many problems to count.
I intend to change that. I am announcing my intention to run for President of the United States of America, as a Republican.
As President, I would make sure we did not have pork barrel spending. As President I would not approve a budget that was not balanced. As President, I will remove our troops from Iraq. As President, I will lower your taxes. As President, I will work to bring jobs back to America. As President, I will fight terrorism.
I will fight for America as President, because you deserve you. You, the people of Allentown, the people of Pennsylvania, the people of the Midwest, and more importantly, you the people of AMERICA! You deserve leadership that will fight for you. You deserve leadership that will not let you down, leadership that will make sure that what you, the American People want, will be what you get.
I owe it to my children, to your children, and to the future generations of Americans, to make sure that I win this election. If I fail to win, I fear that we may have a crises on our hands. I fear that my children will not be able to grow up in the America I grew up in. I fear the America I grew up in will no longer exist.
We owe it to our children and to ourselves to elect a real leader to our nation's highest office. A leader who has executive experience, executive experience where they could NOT allow for an unbalanced budget. I will be that leader. The leader that ends America's debt, if you, the people of America, will give me the chance.
I will be around here for another few hours, if you have any questions I would love to answer them. Thank you."
