Name: Mitchell Burton Position: Senator Position Desired: President
1. What is your position in regards to detainment of terror suspects without a warrant or reason? It is wrong, we are fighting to not turn into these kind of people, 2. When, if ever, do you believe habeus corpus can be legally suspended? Never. 3. What have you done in your life to advance the cause of civil liberties? I believe the rights guaranteed in the Constitution are inalienable, they can not be trod upon, I have spoken thus so in the Colorado House and as a private citizen.

Name: Lance Lillidge Position: US Senator, CA Position Desired: President of the United States1. What is your position in regards to detainment of terror suspects without a warrant or reason? I believe that we are in the war against terrorism to protect and defend our liberties that are guaranteed us by the Constitution. Detaining prisoners of any kind without charges being filed is unconstitutional and would not happen in my administration. 2. When, if ever, do you believe habeus corpus can be legally suspended? Only if America was ever invaded by a foreign country. 3. What have you done in your life to advance the cause of civil liberties? I have defended those civil liberties as a member of the US military. I believe that our constitutional rights are sacred and must be defended here and abroad. I have spoken to children in schools about the importance of their civil liberties and the cost that others have paid so that we may enjoy them. As a lawyer in California, I have taken part in several civil and criminal cases to defend someone's liberties that were being threatened.
